Audio Systems: Hooking up a sound system through a mixer, wireless microphone system, yamaha mixer

Question
QUESTION: I recently bought a Yamaha MG102c Mixer for my church and cannot get all of the components "mixed".  My problem is not knowing exactly what to plug in where.  I have specifics of the components if need be.  Can you be of help?

ANSWER: Send me a detailed list of the components.

QUESTION: Thank you for the quick response to my original question.  The components are as follows:  Yamaha MG102c mixer, TASCAM CD-RW900SL CD recorder, AV-Leader UR-010 wireless microphone system, Bogen GS100 receiver and a CD player.

Any help you can render would be so great.  I have tried to look on the manufacturers websites, but their "technical" help is limited and their "How do I hook this up sections" are nearly non-existent.

Thanks you again.

Answer
If there is an XLR phone jack on the AV-Leader UR-010 wireless microphone then using a standard microphone cable plug it into Channel 1 mic input of the Yamaha mixer. If it has 1/4" phone jack then you can use a 1/4 to XLR or 1/4" to 1/4" cable into line in of the mixer (not insert)

Plug the CD player into either one of the stereo mix channels. You will see RCA jacks on the back of the mixer marked input or you can use the tape monitor which has a separate control on top of the mixer.

The Bogen GS100 receiver should have 1/4" or RCA jack. If it has a 1/4" jack then use a 1/4 to 1/4' cable to plug it into any open input on the mixer. Remember what channel you plug it into since the fader of that channel will control its level.

Plug the TASCAM CD-RW900SL CD recorder, system, into the RCA jacks on back of the Yamaha mixer marked REC OUT. The Tascam maybe furnished with XLR connectors. If so instead you can plug it's input into a monitor output providing that it uses XLR' connectors.

You should refer to the manual since all of this is clearly explained. If you don't have one you can download a PDF copy from the Yamaha tech support page.

Remember that to hear sound from the mixer you must use both the input and output faders. Make sure there are no muted channels and that if there is an assign it's to the master outputs.
