Audio Systems: bose 350z left speaker, audio power amplifier, bose systems

Question
about a year ago you`ve had a question asked about the malfunction of the left bose speaker i a 350z while playing the cd. And there was no problem when using the am/fm radio.

Now i`ve got the same problem with a 350z. So my question is; have you received more information about this subject that could help me further??

with best regards,

Answer
No, but the following are pertinent, in my opinion, to solving the problem you have:

ONE:  Bose is non-orthodox in their design so you must always be careful when working of Bose systems.

TWO:  When one speaker malfunctions and the others don't with Bose it generally implies the system is one of those that has the audio power amplifier built into the each speaker basket (it is a special amp and speaker combination that uses a very low dc resistance voice coil).

THREE: So, I suspect the amplifier for the bad speaker is defective and needs replacing.  You must find a supplier who can obtain the whole assembly or at least the amplifier so you can replace that part of the system.

FOUR:  It could be something else, such as the wiring going from the central unit to the bad speaker, but I think, 80% wise, the problem is the speaker/amp unit.

Hope this helps,
