Audio Systems: audio, sound reinforcement handbook, radio shack

Question
I'm getting a job with radio shack and i know nothing about audio. all the books i find don't have what im looking for. where can i go to learn whether someone would want to purchase something with higher or lower decibels and what that means. the ohms something has, watts, etc. i dont want to learn about ohms law or anything, just the best quality you can get for your money. thanks in advance

Answer
You do not need to know a great deal about any one device although knowledge never hurts. To get an overview of what they sell it's as simple as going though their on line catalog, reading the descriptions of their products and doing a search on anything that doesn't make sense to you. The Web: Selectively search for a topic of interest when it comes to everything from cables to connectors to phones. Radio Shack sells a broad spectrum of electronics.

The manual that I am going to recommend, if you read it thoroughly, you'll be overqualified as a salesman at Radio Shack, however it doesn't mean you need to use all of the information now.
