Audio Systems: Radio streaming, internet radio stations, onkyo tx

Question
Robert,

I recently installed a home theater.  The receiver and all of the other gear is located in a room in my basement adjacent to the tv viewing area.  It all looks great and works wonderfully.  That said, there is very limited radio connectivity in my basement let alone when the receiver is located in a room in my basement.  I wanted to stream audio from the internet to my receiver.  I own an Onkyo TX-SR606 and unfortunately that model does not have built-in internet streaming.  My question is are you able to comment on what my best option might be to enable internet streaming to my Onkyo system (ie, an internet tuner that i can plug directly into my Onkyo unit, etc...)?  Thanks for your time.

Harrison

Answer
Logitech Squeeze Center makes a series of options that allow you to use any library on any of your computers as well as receive a plethora of Internet radio stations. Rhe receiver has RCA connectors. Other options are Sirius and XM. My recommendation is the first. It will also give you the highest fidelity of the three.
