Audio Systems: explorer factory radio cell phone problem, factory radio, cassette radio

I recently purchased a 98 Ford Explorer Limited with a factory cassette/radio and a 6 pack cd in the console. it has a factory cell phone hook-up. There is a "phone" message that keeps coming up on the radio with an audio beep that comes over the speakers and cuts out the radio/CD. A phone is not hooked up. What can I do to disconnect or kill the phone connection? Thanks--Paul

pull the radio out and unplug the 2 plugs to the left maybe there is only one
keep theplug that is on the right side the biger plug
you now lost the cd changer,rear controls and woofer
but the radio and 4 speaker will work   
test it for a few days if it happends again the radio is defective and needs to be repair
