Audio Systems: 99 buick regal monsoon system speakers, monsoon system, buick regal

Question
my rear deck 6x9 are bad so i replaced them with some 3way planet audio speakers, and i get now highs just lows. the little 3.5 thats sits next to the 6x9 is getting all the highs. is there a way to get the three way speaker to work right with the monsoon amp. this is an 8 speaker system. all the after market listing only show 4 speaker system. what do i do.

Answer
Did you talk to the reps at Crutchfield about this yet?
Call 1-800-319-8264  (this number is located at the top of their page)

If their 'outfit my car' link does not take you to 'your' system, you either have a non-factory Monsoon system OR you have not completed the outfit my car options correctly.

If it is a non-factory Monsoon (meaning that someone at some point put this non-factory monsoon system in the car), you will need an installer/technician [in person] to look at this for you.
Unless you can get that work done for free, this fee alone may make replacing it all with an after market system, very viable.

My advice:
It's a ten year old deck. It is ready for replacement and will likely soon force you to replace it. Running new speaker wire is not that hard to do and you can probably use what is there already.
The problem is you will need to patch the existing wires together at the Monsoon amp. Therefore, I would just run all new speaker wiring since the stuff you have now is 10 years old.
Go spend $100 on a deck and install kit at Circuit City. I would bet money that such a deck could be wired to the existing front speakers since their wires are long enough to go to the amp that is installed now and could be cut.
