Audio Systems: question please, sound engineer, music interest

QUESTION: hello sir

hope you can aid me for my problem

I m adore music , has very good sensed ear for music , also any sound effect , because I had a bachelor degree in electronics & communication so I thought to collect between both with career ( sound , phonetics) engineer , as working in studios , stations which let me use my engineer qualification more over my musical ear also my adoration of music & sound @ all

1- whats your opinion ?
2- whats the job name related to my problem (sound engineer ?????????) because I confuse when try to apply for any job data base how I describe this field ?
3- your comments pleas

unfortunately I m live in EGYPT but I hope to work with you I ready to take any internship , training , test you want , I have no matter to travel tell me your opinion , but you have to know that I haven't a practical experience in sound engineer ( specially technicalities ) but I want to access the career putting my first pace ( using my musical ear also music interest morevover engineering studies

so tell me your opinion about working with you , it is easy to refuse if not tell me right direction to qualified for that field ???????

last thing if I m watching a movie via any player I listen a good concert through the movies , so I want to separate this musical concert from the movie to be other own file

ANSWER: Bio is a resume showing education & any experience. Should include all pertinent information about you. You will need it for any serious job.


You can't just be a self appointed sound engineer. You need a degree of some sort and experience always helps. Interning for a company that does sound reinforcement, studio recording, mastering ,TV or Film is a way to break into the business. You must sometimes be willing to work for no pay until you prove your worth.

Today a person who wants to do the work you describe should be familiar with some of the following: editing software, Avid, networking, programming, computing, professional audio, miking techniques, mastering techniques, recording techniques, hardware in computing, audio, video, musical instruments, music theory, musical; to name a few disciplines.


There are various software packages for editing movies & sound depending on whether you use PC or a Mac. Pinnacle for PC, garage band for Mac. These are only 2 programs. There are many more, each with different features. In my work we are very resourceful and surf the Web for any new products. You must do the same if you want to be in this business.

We are in a very specialized field involving music and electronics on a world class level. I can't judge anything about you until I see what abilities you have. Our work is very demanding. The people that we work with are all highly skilled. Mostly we outsource unless you are able to meet the requirement needed for sales, programming, network skill, music and/or video editing and discography. If you aren't prepared you would be like a fish out of water.
