Audio Systems: new stereo for 1999 Buick Regal, buick dealer, buick regal

Question
I recently installed a Sony Stereo (AM/FM/CD/AUX)in my wife's 1999 Buick Regal. The original stereo was stock (Dbl Din - AM/FM/CD/Cassette). I was able to determine which wires I needed: Constant Power, Power from ignition, Ground, & Speakers. All other wires, I simply wire nutted individually. The stereo worked fine - in the garage. The next day, during my wife's drive to work, & the stereo turned off, the "Service Engine Soon" light came on, & the Air bag light came on. The car's perfomance didn't suffer, however the annoying warning lights & the stereo shutting off became a pain. Since this dreadful day - approx. 2 weeks ago - I've gone to our local Buick dealer for a computer diagnostic. They couldn't get the warning lights to turn off. Nor, could they get the stereo to work properly. They told me that their computer can't explain what's happening. "Perhaps the stereo isn't compatible." In the interim, the stereo will come on at ignition, then within 5-10 minutes, turn off again. And of course, those pesky warning lights are still on. I'm not sure now whether to just go to a stereo dealer/installer to see if they can do something, or maybe buy a new stereo from them and let them install it. And, even if the stereo store technician can install a new stereo, would they be responsible for resetting car's computer warning lights.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice you have.

Answer
simple
there is no ignition behind the radio or in the wiring harness you need to get that from the fuse box or ignition switch

but there is a pink or orange wire  with ignition the problem is that it is not ignition it is a DATA wire

good luck
nothing wrong with radio
unplug the battery overnight  after you get the new ignition wire
