Audio Systems: Proscan TV # 32700, rf interference, signal rf

Question
QUESTION: When watching from cable input, there is static.

When watching a DVD there is no static.

What might be the problem?  Thanks

ANSWER: It could be a number of things... a cheap cable, a bad / weak signal, RF interference, a faulty cable box (if you are using one).

I'd investigate those first.

QUESTION: The cable company came and cleared the cable, the signal, and the cable box.  What about the connector from the TV to the cable from the Box?  Thanks

Answer
It seems you've been troubleshooting quite a bit.

If the cable company checked those things, the connectors should be fine. Without seeing what your talking about, I really can't help anymore than that. What kind of connection are you using from the cable box? RF? HDMI? Component?

When I say "cheap cable", we aware that the stuff that the cable companies use is often very poorly shielded, and susceptible to interference. Most installers know about Cable TV, but very little about the cable itself.

There could be issues with the TV as well.
