Audio Systems: 2007 silverado(newbody) amp install, ac voltmeter, bose system


Question
I know this is prob stupid.. but I was trying..I have a 07 Silverado NBS ..factory non bose GM deck unit.. was using a loc to hook up my ampo & subs while retaing th efactory stuff for th efactory look.,. an dless appeal to be thiefed.I have  apowered line out convertor.. but I checked the wires according to color codes Ive seen, but all the wires from the GM cd unit.. all have power when checked wiith a test light,when I hook up like a nornal GM install..brown-yellow LR ,,DK blue -Light Blue RR .. to the LOC there is no soung goung to amp ..yet again check the amp-all 4 terminals(2channel amp) have juice. I know therea a PAC interface avail.. but is there any was to actually use a LOC on a 07 Silverado with factory NON bose system>???Thanks

Be sure the amp is working by using a portable music device and a 1/8" to RCA cable (Radio Shack). Plug music device into amp inputs.

Next, check that RCA out from the LOC has signal. You can use a AC voltmeter (borrow from Radio Shack).

One of these two tests should show you the problem.
