Audio Systems: amps, dual voice coils, two subs

Question
what parts do i need to run two amps into two subs and how do i hook it up?

Answer
You cannot join two amps into a common speaker configuration so you will be better off just connecting one amp to one sub and the other amp to the additional sub.

Make certain of a good impedance match. The impedance rating of the sub must be equal or higher, but never lower, in value than the rated impedance of the amplifier.  If the speaker impedance is lower than the rating of the amplifier it will cause a failure over time.

If the subs have dual voice coils you must decide to connect the coils in series or parallel; and it will depend on the impedance ratings.

If you want to send me the make/model of the subs and amplifiers I can give you specific suggestions.

Hope this helps.
