Audio Systems: GM Factory Stereo options, bose amplifiers, pontiac grand prix

Question
First of all Ernesto, thank you for making yourself available as a resource to answer questions.
I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix with the factory Bose 8 speaker  system.  When I bought the car it had a GM factory cassette deck w/7 band EQ and an aftermarket CD changer in the trunk. When I checked the RPO code in the trunk,it calls for a head with a CD player, so maybe someone changed the unit at some point.  Am I getting the full benefit of the Bose system with a radio like this or was there another option especially designed for the speaker system?
Also, I recently installed a Sirrius receiver and following the install have a problem with the radio having no output and only have time display after you push recall.  That fades away after a few seconds leaving a blank display and no sound of any kind.  Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
 Thanks again.

Answer
there are 3 fuses for the radio
if only the time shows for a few seconds one fuse is bad

the boses system can not be modified or upgrade
you have the best radio, speakers and bose amplifiers also speakers are 1.5 ohms

some of the tape players are not changer control  you need to  switch the radio to a cd  player or tape player with changer controls to control the cd changer
it also needs to be the bose version  about the Sirius input this is the best way to do it
plug this interface where the 9 pin plug cd changer connection is behind the radio
but before you buy the interface you need to fix the other problem with the fuses
