Audio Systems: lost power, lightning strikes, power surges

main power cables to house burned up.when power restored, my jvc mxkc-45 radio does not power up. is there a fuse reset, module or circuit board i can replace to repair it at a reasonable cost?  would a surge protector have helped in this case?

Ther eshould be a fuse inside the unit.  If the fuse does not fix the problem, I wouldn't spend any money trying to fix it.  Power surges, like lightning strikes, ofter cause damage that is not readily apparent.  Add this piece to the insurance list and move on.
