Audio Systems: 2001 Sebring Radio, treble light, 5v regulator

Question
QUESTION: My radio quit working when the battery went dead and the starter just clicked. I replaced the battery and all that happens is the bass/treble light blinks, no radio no cd. I have called all of the Chrysler people that I know of, even the corporate number and they had no advice, except unplug the radio at the harness and try to reset it. That did not work. They say that there is no theft code on this radio. I am lost. I think there is a reset somewhere or a fuseable link.???

ANSWER: This could be an indication that the internal power supply is damaged.  Did you replace the regulator as well as the battery?  If the voltage was off significantly enough, the radio could have been effected.  You will need to have this looked at by a tech focussing on the power supply area.

QUESTION: Internal power supply of radio?  No I did not replace regulator, since it was tested and was deemed "operating normally" by the battery supplier.  The battery replaced was a six years old oem.

Answer
There is a "power supply" within the radio that will convert the 12V in to 5V at a minimum.  This along with the 12V powers the different portions of the radio.  I would look first at the 5V regulator chips as being bad and go from there.  The bad battery probably dropped the overall voltage available and the additional current draw may have damaged the internal regulator chips.
