Audio Systems: Samsung TV with Samsung home theater, samsung lcd hdtv, samsung tv

I just bought the 40" Samsung LCD HDTV which was sold together with the Samsung Home Theater sound system.  I cannot get the sound to play with TV.....only works when playing a DVD!  Anyone have any ideas how to hook up TV viewing with sound from these speakers?

Answer
A lot will depend upon whether or not the audio out from the set passes the surround info and whether or not the broadcast includes the surround info.  Some home theater systems have the option for "simulated" surround.  This will take a standard Left/Right signal and generate the remainder of the surround channels.  Look for that.
