Audio Systems: 95 Civic Stereo, radio cassette player, factory radio

Question
My Civic still has the factory installed radio/cassette player, and it has an intermittent problem that seems to have become permanent -- all of the radio buttons stop working.  The radio will still turn on and I can change the volume using the knob, but all of the other buttons, to change stations, bands, etc., do not respond at all.  Also, sometimes the stereo makes a sound like it is trying to eject a tape, although there isn't a tape in there.  Is it possible that this is a bad connection or cable that I could fix myself if I take the radio out?
thanks for your help

Answer
sorry to tell you this but your radio is going to die soon and the repair will be to expensive over $300.00 there is a ttl communication problem with the radio processor and it is inside, it is better to find a new factory radio, they are not that expensive
