Audio Systems: sound from amps and pa to outdoor speakers, sound reinforcment, outdoor speakers

Question
We've recently installed outdoor speakers at our live music venue. Right now our house system which plays through our stereo is the only sound coming through the outdoor speakers. Is there a way to get the sound from the guitar amps and bass line through to the outside speakers?

Answer
Back line equipment is only meant to be point source personal monitoring for an instrument. It is generally captured via microphone or DI into a mixing console for live performances or recording. If in fact you are referring to a live mix board whose main output is feeding the audio system to an external system, you must describe to me the details of your mix, the actual output bus and what board you are referring to. There are many ways to accomplish sound reinforcement and distributed audio. If you are working within the parameters of commercial sound reinforcment I can help you find a solution.
