Audio Systems: bose 6 cd changer, chevy trucks, battery terminal

Question
I have a 2003 suburban with a bose 6 cd changer and the cd's are in it and it
won't respond to any commands. I gave it a series of instructions like eject and
change cd simultaneously and the display started flashing and when I hold the
eject button down, it beeps. I would like to get it working, but I need to get the
cd's out at least. Is there a way to reset it or get the cd's out?

Answer
The only reset that I know of is to remove power from the entire audio system for 30 minutes.  This is most easily done by just removing one of the cables from the battery terminal.  But, if the unit has anti-theft be sure you have the code so you can get it started again after restoring power to the head unit.

If that does not clear it you will need to pull the unit; remove the covers and extract the discs by manual forces!

If the unit needs replacement this unit may fit your vehicle

but I would check with the supplier to make sure.  The price of the replacement changer may be less than major repairs on the old one.

Hope this helps,
