Audio Systems: thank u, rca cables, male rca

Question
QUESTION: the subject line about does it for now

ANSWER: Without knowing what satellite receiver you have I would first ask you to check and see if there are audio output jacks (RCA type red & white) on the satellite receiver. If there are, then all you need to do is take the audio out of the satellite receiver and plug it in with male to male RCA cables to a line level stereo input (tuner, CD, Aux, DVD, Tape) of the stereo receiver (any input other than phono). The stereo receiver should be switched to conform with whatever input you plug it into.

QUESTION: thanks so much,  i have the system hooked up.   Except for one problem.   I have 2 vcr's.  I want to play a tape in one and record it on the other....make a copy.   how do i hook the vcr's together?

Answer
Decide which is the VCR that you want to use to play thru your TV. Let's call that VCR1.

Connect the audio and video (A/V) outputs of VCR1 to the A/V inputs of the TV.

Take VCR2 and hookup it's A/V outputs to the A/V inputs of the VCR1.

In order for you to make VCR copies you must select the "Video Input" button on VCR1.

When you play a tape on VCR2, signal will pass through VCR1 and you should see picture and hear sound on the TV.

Rewind the VCR2 tape to the beginning, put a blank tape in VCR1 and press record; then press play on VCR2.
