Audio Systems: 02 MB E 320 cassette window says service , mercedes ml, fiber optic cable

Question
I have been through your previous answered questions and did not find this problem. I can not determine whether the system is: CM 1910, CM2299, BE3302, or BE3309 cassette player with 6 cd changer in trunk which looks like the 98-99 mercedes ML/Panasonic?. It has worked fine for the past 2 years that I have owned and one day wife was scanning through stations and it went black then "service" came in display window. Thanks for any info and thanks for taking the time to share your expertise with folks like me.

the system is made by alpine not panasonic
service can be a power problem on the radio  or stuck tape  
sometimes it also shows service when the fiber optic cable is been damage    
sorry i can not help you  take it the radio to a electronic shop to see if they can test it  they also need the code
