Any help would be welcome

Answer
I think a reset will clear it up.  Obviously, the internal logic circuits are confused or corrupted. So, do a reset and see if that won't clear it.

There should be an instruction in your manual on how to reset.  If not, it can be done by removing the power from the system. To do that you must disconnect one of the big cables from the car battery.  WARNING: If your system has built-in anti-theft protection make sure you have the code or you will not be able to power the system back up until you get it.

To remove the battery cable you will need to raise the bonnet/hood and with a crescent wrench loosen the bolt that tightens the cable to the battery post.  You can remove either terminal and when you do so, the entire car electrical system is dead until you connect it back up again.  The clock will need to be reset. Leave the power disconnected for 30 minutes in order for the changer to reset.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more. Cheers.
