Audio Systems: Saab Clarion needs code every time, clarion radio, radio one

Question
My 1993 Saab Clarion radio beeps and asks for the code to be entered every time I turn off the car for more than a couple of seconds.  I can do this, but would be nice to have it just work.

Answer
The 12v power line is disconnecting.   There are two 12v lines feeding the radio. One comes from the ignition for the regular ON function.  The other comes directly from the battery (through a fuse) and stays on all the time.

I suspect the 12v always connected line is being switched off with the ignition.  So, check it out and see if that is the problem.
