Audio Systems: no sound from my stereo, radio tunner, ford taurus

Hi, I have a 1998 Ford Taurus station wagon se and I can't get any sound out of it. The antennae goes up when turned on and everything lights up and goes through its functions properly. It is though mute was pushed, but it doesn't have mute. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box, they are all ok. I even swapped out the stereo with one from a local junkyard, still no sound. I checked in the rear cargo panel area for a box that worked with the stereo, no such box found. I am running out of ideas to why the stereo doesn't have any sound. Please help me.

the unit at front with the ac is not a radio only a remote control unit and there is nothing wrong with that

the problem is on the radio tunner amplifier box,that unit is in the trunk ,you didn't look good that box is there

left side of the trunk remove both carpets it is near the fender or floor it looks like this one here
