Audio Systems: Trouble shoot a cd player install in a 1998 ford mustang, kicker cvr 12, silent speakers

I installed a DEH-P5900UB Pioneer deck in a 1998 ford mustang, all I get is a bass signal and cant get any highs. Theres two kicker CVR 12"s in the back in a ported box on an audiobahn amp and kicker 6" x 8"s all round. The car had a cd player in it before and it worked fine, now I just cant get the highs to play.

Is there an amp in the middle?  Better check it out. Ether trace out the wires feeding the speakers that aren't sounding or make sure you have the right harness connections.

Here is a quick way to check it out: Take a length of wire and connect from the output of the Pioneer directly to one of the speakers and see if you are getting audio (but disconnect the other wire on the speaker you are using to test).  Then, you must find out where the wires go and how come they are not feeding the silent speakers.
