Audio Systems: Changing my stock radio, antenna connections, dodge neon

Question
I have a 2001 Dodge Neon, it has the stock radio in it, which is kinda big, i want to put a Dual XD7500 Unit in it which i bought off of someone for 30 bucks. What all do I need to install it myself, i know i need a mounting bracket to take up some of the space, and a wiring harness, but is this all? Would it be better just to have someone else put it in?

Answer
Using an expert for a change like this is always the best way to go.  Chrysler products are quite difficult to fit other head unit in and get them wired up properly. You really should be an experienced installer if you want to do it correctly.

But, here are some starting points.

Go to:
www.installer.com/kits/
and see if you can find the dash kit.

Then go to:
http://www.installer.com/wires/
and look for a wiring harness that might convert the wiring over.

You will have to find out where the 12v lines come in and get the wired up to the new unit.  Same for the antenna. Probably antenna connections are different and you may have to convert the connector over to the new radio.

Hope this will get you rolling.
