Audio Systems: Stereo Removal, car dashboard, car stereos

I just bought a 95 escort and I am trying to take the stock stereo out. I have spent 3 hours just trying to get to the stereo to remove it but can not seem to get to where the stereo is held in. How do you get to where the stereo is held in?

This is not my expertise. Every car dashboard is designed differently and there are a plethora of car stereos. As one who is very handy and has always delved into a repair challenge when I find it, I stay clear of auto installations and leave it to the pros. Even if you get the stereo out there is always a chance that you will mess up the working electrical system of the car by not following procedures that are common knowledge to those who do this every day.

My advice it to ask and expert and probably one who can put his hands on your car.
