Audio Systems: Upgrading Radio in 91 Grand Marquis, mercury grand marquis, sony xplod

Question
Hi there,

This may seem like a stupid question, but I'm completely new to auto stereos and stuff. I have a 91 Mercury Grand Marquis and I want to replace the Radio/Cassette player. I wanted to put in something a little newer, maybe along the lines of a SONY XPLOD CDX GT200. I've removed the radio but I'm not sure where to go from here. Are there any radios out there that would be able to plug in using the wiring thats already there? Or will I have to rewire the speakers and such. It looked like there was only one connecter on the newer radios and it didn't look like it fit the wiring thats already installed. Not to mention theres two wiring plugs plus the antenna coming out of the factory radio.

Do I have to rewire everything? And what are the two black and gray multiple wire plugs coming out of the factory radio?

Answer
You need a Ford adapter harness, and possibly an interface box as well. This link shows the differences;

DO NOT CUT THE PLUGS! Find a car audio shop that stocks these and get he proper ones. Even places like Crutchfield on-line will sell you the plugs if you do not have a best buy or pep boys nearby...
