Audio Systems: Swapping stereo out, harness kit, shadow of a doubt

I have a 1996 Land Rover Disco and want to change the factor stereo with my kenwood.  I pulled out the stereo but am having difficulty figuring out what wires go to what?  I do not have the money to get it professionally installed and have installed a car stereo before.  I am confident I can do this with a little instructions.  Please help.

There are a few ways.  Here are two.

ONE:  Go to www.crutchfield.com and purchase their wiring harness kit for your model car and radio. It will cost around $10.  Other such places are schoshe.com and http://www.installer.com/aux/

TWO:  Trace out the wiring in your Land Rover so that you know beyond any shadow of a doubt where all the wires come from and go to.  Then, download the wiring schema from Kenwood on your model and match up the proper wires to each other.
