Audio Systems: Wiring, mono amp, model numbers

Question
I have a Pioneer 800 watt mono amp and one Alpine Type r.  I was planning on adding another Alpine Type r to the system.   If i used the same 800 watt mono amp to run both subs, would it be any louder then it is right now?  Would it hit about 800 watts out of each sub or 800 watts total between the two(in which case i wouldnt buy it)? Thanks alot.

well it depends on the specs of the amp.  It states on my blurb to PLEASE INCLUDE MODEL NUMBERS.
I cant accurately answer this question without the model number of the amp and the subs too.

the system could be louder, or it could be the same, or it could overload the amp and blow it up.
unless I know what equipment we're talking about, i cant say.
