Audio Systems: building speaker box, dodge ram 1500, ported box

i neec to design a box for 2 kicker comp 12 inch woofers. they will be in a dodge ram 1500 single cab full size truck

ok, so first off, are we talking a sealed box or a ported box?  this depends on your musical taste, your building abilities, and the space you have.  a ported box will be larger, more difficult to build but basically play louder and possibly deeper depending on the design. ported boxes are good for rap and other bassy music but not always so good for punchy beats like techno etc.  again, depends on the design.

sealed boxes are smaller and easier to build.  they don't play as loud and usually not as deep as a ported box(again, depending on the design).  sealed boxes are good for overall any type of music.  but some of the deeper bass from rap and stuff may be less impressive.

also I could use some measurements.  typically you build a box to take up as much width and height in the car as possible so that it takes up less depth of your trunk.  so if you could measure the width of your space, and the height, and the available depth, that would be great.
