Audio Systems: trying to save money, stereo amps, wedding expenses

Question
My fiance' and I are trying to save some wedding expenses and one of the ideas we have is to not rent a DJ. Instead we want to buy a system and play our own music.  The problem is I don't what I need.  And we only want to spend about $300 for it. Can you help? The hall is about 1300 square feet, we will have approximiatly 100 guests. We thought a multiple disc cd player would be good but I don't know jack about speakers, recievers,...

Answer
I think I mentioned everything important in your other similar question.

Shop Bestbuy and CircuitCity and such places for a good deal on stereo amps and cd players. You will want to budget the most for the speakers - and make sure they are at least 98db in sensitivity so they will cover the crowd with ample sound output.  I think you will be alright.

Best wishes to the Bride and Groom.
