Audio Systems: Error 23, car cd player, pioneer head unit

Question
I've been using Windows Media Player to make my CDs.  My fiance has a Pioneer head unit in his truck and is able to play WMA/MP3 CDs without any problems.  He's been using Windows Media Player as well to burn his.  Maybe I can reset my unit?  Is there a way I can do that?

-----Question-----
I have a Pioneer head unit in my Z and it is supposed to be able to play MP3 and WMA CDs.  But whenever I put one in, I get this Error 23 message. What is Error 23 and what can i do to fix it? I'm half tempted to rip the damn thing out and buy a new one.  This is ridiculous.  I hope you can help me :)

there are a few things about burning cds that make a BIG difference when playing them in something other than a computer.

1st you need to use CDRs NOT cd rw or other junk.

2nd you need to use a cd burning application like nero or something else, you cant use DLA or something that lets you drag and drop files to the cd. if you're trying to drop files on the cd in windows explorer or my computer as you would a floppy or other drive it simply wont work in your car cd player.

3rd when you do use nero or whatever app you use, you need to set it to:
DISK AT ONCE (DAO) (if it has this setting)
NO multisession (repeat NO multi session)
and you have to make sure the disk gets finalized, nero simply has a checkbox that says something about finalize disk (no further writing, etc ect.)

the 4th thing is that you should choose a slower burning speed (again, done in nero or other burning app)  most current drives support up to 52x but the burning isnt as "deep" at that high speed. choose the slowest speed for the best burn,  usually 16x is adequate but 4x may do even better.

That should make a HUGE difference, if not let me know, we'll work from there.
GOOD LUCK!

Answer
ok, well windows media player is not a cd burning application.  its a media player with cd burning capability.  It doesnt have the options I discused you needed.  The way that I'm telling you to burn the cd is the way that makes the most compatible disk that will play in just about anything, Just becuase a different cd player works the easy way from media player, doesnt mean its the right way to do it, it just means you're lucky that it works for that model cd player.
Trust me, the way to make a cd that is the most compatible is the way I discused in the first message.
