Audio Systems: 97 deville intall, cadillac deville, d system

I have a 97 cadillac deville, with an aftermarket jvc deck. i used the install plug that circuit city provided. when sound is turned up pasted half way the speakers start to cut out for a very short second. when turned back down it stops. can you help?

you have a factory amp'd system so you will need an integration adapter between your head unit and the factory ... circuit city should have one ... its a PAC OEM 2 i believe is what you'll need ... crutchfield.com has them ...what the module does is chops the voltage down so your amps can handle it
