Audio Systems: 2001 Dodge Dakota, radio face, dodge dakota

Question
Ernesto,

I was experiencing power outages with my factory stereo (Single CD, AM/FM Infinity Unit).  After ~20 minutes or on a +80 degree F day, the radio would start turning off automatically for a split second.  The radio would turn itself back on.  I would sometimes lose the station I was tuned to when listening to the radio.  I never lost my presets.  When I would turn off the radio and turn it back on, I would wind up losing my station and would have to go back to it.  As time went on the unit would lose power and would not come back on (no radio, no clock on the radio face).  Now the radio does not work at all.  I checked the fuses along the way, and didn't find anything.  I haven't checked them since the system stopped working all together, but I plan to do this soon.  Any ideas?

Answer
HI
there is a problem on some of the dodge dakota and it is the ac system when the ac is very cold it makes condensation  and this goes in to the radio so most likely that is what happend and the radio is done now your radio will need to be service by a tech you can check all your fuses but they are going to be ok
sorry i can not help you more
