Audio Systems: About hookin my speakers up?, toyota 4runner, factory stereo

I have a 2002 toyota 4Runner and i want to know if i have to have a certain kind of cd player to hook my speakers up too? The one that came with my car is a factory do i have to get a after market cd player or can i just use the factory that came with my car?

I dont know whether you're talking about replacement door speakers or subwoofer (addon) speakers.
If you're simply chaning door speakers you dont need to do anything with the cd player, you simply remove the old door speakers and put in the new ones.  the only time this doesnt work well is if you have a "premium" factory stereo by bose.  if you dont see the bose logo anywhere you'll be fine. if you're talking about hooking up a subwoofer that depends primarilly on the amplifier you're using.
