Audio Systems: VCR, automobile repair shop, video cassette player

Question
Thanks for quick response. Can you tell me where the head unit controls are for the vcr sound setting? The only controls ar V1 (videotape) and V2 (Aux or game) Also Frequency 1, 2 and off.  I thought maybe the radio needed to be set on a certain frequency either AM or FM? I have checked the back of the VCR and it has only one plug with many wires. Thanks for your help.  Gene

Question -
The VCR located under the rear seat in my Toyota Sienna has wireless headphones and works well.  However, I would like to have the sound through the speaker system but do not have directions/instructions as to procedure.  Can you help? Thanks.  HGH

Answer -
As already answered in the previous similar question, check the cabling from the output of the vcp to the in-dash unit and be  sure the head unit is set for video sound.

Answer
V1, videotape is the one.

The multiwire cable from the back of the vcr (actually, it is a vcp or video cassette player) to to the head unit by cable I suppose. If you can follow the cable it should lead to the rear of the radio unit in the dash.

If you select v1 and turn up the audio you should be getting sound. IF not, here are possible problem areas:

-  VCP is defective and not putting out audio. (If you get video, you should be getting audio).
-  Cable coming out of the back of the vcp is bad.
-  Head unit is defective when switching for the vcp.
-  Your tapes have no audio to hear.

You may need some repair. If so, take it to an automobile repair shop and not to a car dealer.

Have a great day,
