Audio Systems: need help with the rear speakers of my car (Honda Accord LX, 1998)., channel amp, rear speakers

Hi,
i need help with the rear speakers of my car (Honda Accord LX, 1998).
The front speakers by the driver and passengers side are working but the
rear speakers of the car are not working. the car still has its original radio.
pls help with your expertise.

i have a couple possibilities, if your stereo has an externally mounted power amp for the rear speakers, your problem might be there, or the fuse or 'fusible link' powering the external amp,(if you have one) and if the speakers aren't themselves blown, and the fader control hasn't mistakenly been set to front, the rear channel amp inside the stereo is probably shot. both problems, either the external amp or your in-dash unit, your best bet is to visit a local junkyard and get exact model replacements. if your car does not have an external amp, you might do better by putting an aftermarket stereo in it. you can find out exactly what fits your car, including speakers and wiring adaptors at crutchfield.com. just enter your make and model and year, they'll lead you to what fits, and then you can get them other places less expensive. but they are the best reference site. hope this helped.....
