Audio Systems: car stereo and amp, isuzu rodeo, apposed

Question
i have uninstalled my car stereo from my vehicle and am trying to install it in my new 1997 isuzu rodeo
i decided to wire the entire thing from scratch as apposed to trying to figure out which wire is wich in the new truck.
the stereo works fine i have a total of 10 speakers two cross overs one 625 watt infinity amp 1 800 watt (or something like that)amp and the kenwood. every thing in the head unit works fine the 6 speakers for the front work fine the two twelves work fine ( so it seems)  i have connected the two amps together using the method that was used when the car stereo installers installed my stereo when i bought it. i put tags on each wire when i uninstalled the stereo to remember where to reinstall it. the only help i would have needed is with the amps and the cross overs. the cross overs seem simple i believe the are connected correctly. allthough  the amp is not directly connected to the crossovers the cross overs are connected to the head unit itself. when i take a positive and negative stereo wire and connect them to the out put of the crossover and the positive and negative of the amp it seems that there is more power going to the speakers that are connected to the crossover. when i connect the out put of the cross over to the 6by 7 speaker itself it works but definately not adequatly. i dont know how to get my two 6 by 7 speakers to work that are connected directly to the # 2 amp and i dont know how how to get my 6 speakers to work that are connected to the crossovers that are connected the the front left and front right wires coming from my head unit. the two amps are connected to the head unit itself input directly into the unit and an output box. the out put box is connected to the ground that comes out from the head unit.
i would like to know how to get my two six by 7 SPEAKERS TO WORK I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO GET MY 6 SPEAKERS THAT ARE CONNECTED TO THE CROSSOVERS TO WORK AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF MY TWO AMPS ARE CONNECTED CORRECTLY. I HAVE SWITCHED THE OUT PUT FROM THE RADIO TO THE INPUT OF EACH AMP BUT IT SEEMS THAT IT IS CONNECTED CORRECTLY. WHY DOES MY 6 TWEETERS/MIDS AND MY TWO 6 BY 7 SPEAKERS NOT WORK. WHY DO MY MY CROSSOVERS NOT GET ANY POWER FROM THE AMPS.

Answer
You completely lost me in the discussion (or at least I could not follow your discussion.)  I am not sure what the system design is and I particularly can't tell where the crossovers are wired in.

Are the crossovers passive or electronic or rc low level?

If they are passive component AFTER the amplifiers you must have the schematics for them so you know exactly which wires are inputs and which are outputs to the speakers.

If they are electronics crossovers they go between the out of the head unit and the input to the amps.

And, I am not sure what the crossovers are for.  Are they subwoofer crossovers or mid to tweeters?

And if you don't have subs and tweeters (which you didn't mention) why are you using crossovers at all?

There are some really good tips and guides at the crutchfield.com site if you click on their car system links and go to the bottom where they have DIY & Professional Installation Categories; take a look there and see if you don't find something that will guide you.

COngratulations on labeling all the wires and knowing where everything is going.  That is the right way to do it.
