Audio Systems: Box building, dodge ram 1500, dodge ram quad cab

Question
Ok I have a MTX 7000 10" speaker. I need to make a box to fit into a 99 Dodge ram Quad cab. Preferrably underneath the rear seat. Could you by any chance give me some dimensions to build a box for this speaker and how I can fit it underneath my seat. I read that you bought bigger bolts to raise your seat, what kind of bolts would I need to get. Sorry for all the questions. Thank you. Clint.

Answer
Thanks for reading and admiring my work!!!  :-)
well when  I did the box for the dodge ram 1500 It was for 2 12" subs  I dont think you'll need as much room for just 1 10 so raising the seat will not be nessesary.  I would just go by the manufac. specs. on this and build a box that simply fits under the seat.  remember that the dodge seat slopes down in the back so measure the back not the front.  I made my box with the subs facing down with standoffs on each side to raise the box up off the ground, sort of like a home subwoofer.
I dont see a 7000 online, I just see a 7500.  the 7500 10" recomends .75 cubic feet per sub.  you easily have enough space for 2 so consider that.  but if you want box dimensions for just one, build your box so the external mesurments are:

9" high
12" deep
19.5" wide

using 3/4" thick MDF wood  will give you exactly what the manufac  recomends.  add stand offs of about 1.5" clearence up off the floor.

if these dimensions dont fit well please ask me to modify them.  you have alot of different options for sizes and shapes.
If you need me to elaborate any let me know!
Good luck!
