Question -
I recently bought an ipod connection cable that connects driectly to the back of my Alpine Deck.(9847)  My car is a '97 Honda Accord. I've tried to pull out the stereo before and can get if partially out but it just pops back into place. I dont want to pull on it too hard and break something.  How do I get it out to connect the cable in the back?
Thanks, Mark

Answer -
not easy depending on the model.  when you fold the face down (assuming the face folds down) do you see 2 little holes about the diameter of a coat hanger on each side behind the face?  about 1.5 inches apart vertically?

If so bend 2 pieces of coat hanger in a U shape and stick them in these holes, they should click into place and the radio should pull right out.  if not let me know.
Good luck!

Answer
well I apologize for taking so long to answer this.  the reason is becuase I keep taking some time each day to look at how to do it.  Believe it or not I didnt find anything online and I couldnt remember how I did it in the past.  Try this,  remove the face from the cd player and see if the outter trim that goes around the cd player pulls off as well.  usually theres 4 places it attaches to, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. once you have this trim off you should be able to see the plasic outside of the sides of the unit and you should be able to see the metal frame that attaches to the car.  you should be able to shove something thin down between the metal frame and the side of the cd player.  there is a catch about 2 inches in that has to be pushed away from the cd player. once you get one side out try the other side and make sure the other side doesnt pop out.

Please let me know if that helps.
