Audio Systems: Recording VOIP, nero wave editor, whisle

Question

Hi Cleggsan

Thank you for your letter.

The problem is if you place the mike to close to the speaker, you get feedback which causes an annoying whisle. Do you know of a way to minimize this? I looked at the sound card and noticed it had ports labeled C-sub, line in, rear and SPDIF out. Could any of those ports help me?

Your help is appreciated,
Regards Richard.

Question -

Hi

What is the best way to record VOIP phone calls. I have Nero Wave Editor and have tried recording. However, the speaker is a fair way from the microphone and I cannot hear the other person when I play back the recording. Would I have to place the speaker close to the microphone or is there another way where the recording can be done perhaps internally through the sound card. If so, would Nero Wave Editor enable me to do this or would I need something else?

Your help is appreciated,
Regards Richard.

Answer -
Voip voice is same as any other voice. It is converted to analog before going to the last amp and speaker or sounder.

If there is an audio out or headphone out you can direct feed the audio to the recording board or aux input.

If not, the mic must be buried right up against the speaker but not touching it.

Let me know if you need more.

Answer
You will need a sound board with crosstalk cancellor in it.

Here is a simple solution; down at the lower middle of this page:

It may be a solution for your application.

Here is another solution (Duxoft software application):
