Audio Systems: How Many RCA outputs do i need?!, citroen saxo, rca outputs

Question
Hi there Mark, i live in the UK, and ive just bought a little citroen saxo, as i am planning on biulding a tightly-budgeted but decent sound system for it.  I have got two 10" subs (from a mate) and a 600w amp (also from mate). i want to bridge this to run 300w through each sub but i also want to run a pair of 6x9" through a 250w amp.  Also, i will be replacing the standard front door speakers with new 6.5" components.  How many RCA outputs does my headunit have to have?! I have one, but it only has one RCA line-out.  What do i have to do to get this to work this system, or cant it be done without more RCA outputs?!

Thanks, Ashton

Answer
It can all be done with 1 set.  in other words 2 RCAs a left and a right.  if this is what you have then its no problem.  If you literally only have 1 rca then it's probably a mono out for a sub only and wont do for the amp running the other speakers.
If I may make a sugestion on the door speakers and such.  You said getting an amp to run the 6x9s? 6x9s are notoriusly high in distorion and produce more midbass which you dont want in the rear for a realistic sound stage.  you would do better to leave the crumby 6x9 stock speakers in the rear and put that money toward better components in the front.  put the amp on the front components and either run the 6x9s off the Head unit or just shut them off.  a good sound system has a well difined frontal presence which 6x9s in the rear will destroy.

good luck and pleas let me know how it goes!
