Audio Systems: Sony Radio Unknown, pioneer dealer, sony radio

Question
How are you today.

I am a claims adjuster for Progressive Insurance. I am dealing with a claim where a radio was stolen from one of our customers vehicle. The aftermarket radio was made by Sony and thought to be purchased in '02. Have no info on the radio and was hoping for some help on the ID.

Its what I would consider a pretty special radio. He stated that it is a Sony with a total black screen, one button on the top left for the power, one to the right to open the face (non-motorized), and one on the inside to eject the CD. Everything for the radio is controlled by the remote (RM-X112). The only other thing on the face is the Sony logo in silver dead center top.

Thanks so much for you help on this, as I am pounding my head on the desk just running CDX numbers through yahoo. My dealings with aftermarket stereos, the only one I remember close to this is the JVC Kameleon.

Thanks again
~Jason

Answer
Back in 2001, these were pretty common, they are now discontinued. People did not appreciate the mandatory remote use. Sorry I can't be more help. I was a Pioneer dealer. I was under the impression that unless you had your receipts, the insurnace company would only pay out the amount of the factory radio?
