Lincoln/Mercury Repair: 84 Town Car, Engine Runs Rough, lincoln town car, throttle position sensor

Question
I have an 84 Lincoln Town Car With Approximately 180k miles on it.  It runs rough all throughout the RPM's and Speeds.  I have replaced EVERYTHING exept the Distributor.  I would call it missing at random intervals.  Almost seems like it starts to run on 7 cylinders.  It does it mostly when it's cold, Also does it at high RPM's 3-4k, also when I've been driving a long distance, But it's mostly random.  The O2 sensor, Spark plugs and Wires, Throttle position sensor, Distibutor Cap and Rotor,  The two Fuel Injectors, Fuel Filter, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Ignition Module and Connector, Ignition Coil and Connector have all been replaced.  The engine jerks alot when it is missing.  I installed a RPM guage and it goes nuts when the engine starts to jerk/miss.  I have put a scanner on it and got a code for the EGR position sensor so I replaced that also.  I have not replaced the EGR.  But it recently failed smog by a couple of points, everything else passed smog, just had to much emissions, Not a Gross Polluter.  I have exhausted all possible leads that I suspected.  My only guess would be that this car needs to be feed a brick wall at 65 mph.  Any help would be appreciated, Even if the help is "Junk the car".  Thanks in advance for any attention you give this.

I would do a comprosen check and then see what your comprosen is if it is low then i would put it in the crap yard on less you want to rebuld the motor very nice car if the body is good and worth it i would think it over.
