Audio Systems: 02 Nissan Sentra-Another CD Jammed Subject, nissan sentra, electronics place

Question
Hi,  I've been reading through the archives list.  My CD jam falls
under the diagnosis of:  Won't eject, got the error message,
clicking of gears when trying to eject, but radio still works.  My
guess is that a spring finally came loose after 4 years (factory CD
player).  I finally stopped trying to press eject to avoid major
repair costs.  The stuck CD is, in fact, a brand new CD-R but has
no stickers on the surface (never had problems with playing CD-
R's in the past).  Is it worth bringing it to the dealership vs. an
electronics place?  Is there something I can try before bringing it
in (turning off power in that area)?  If it turns out to be a loose spring,
are we looking at outrageous repair costs?

Thanks for your help/advice!

Answer
As the threads indicate, it will be far cheaper to replace it than to repair it.
I would take it to a local miobile audio store (even circuit city) and get it upgraded/replaced .... It will most likely need new speakers and wires as well for extended life to match the new deck, but of course, this is not manadatory just to get the cd working.
A deck and install tack for it can run as little as 125.00 plus installation which could be done by a zealous yet careful novice.
