Audio Systems: toshiba 43 tv, buying a new tv, innards

my breaker box blew up and now my tv, a 43" toshiba, won't work. the power comes on but no picture and no sound. can you help me. is it a cheap fix or should i buy a new one?

Well, I don't know that I'd suggest just running out and buying a new TV without having the Toshiba checked out. But if your main board blew, chances are the Toshiba's innards are toast. Still, I'd have it checked out first.
