Audio Systems: Ford Radio Problem, climate control system, ford radio

Question
I removed my 98 Explorer's Radio/CD/Premium Sound Receiver
to do some work on the climate control system and when I
reinstalled it, the display and most of the buttons do not work.
The unit still funtions with the rear controls with all the
funcitons (CD, AM/FM, CD Changer).  I have troubleshooted all
the electrical connections & fuses via the pinpoint tests without
finding any problems.  Are there any anti-theft measures that I
have overlooked?

Answer
Keith,
Make sue that all the connectors are securely plugged into the connection points on the stereo. If the stereo is an anti-theft stereo it will normally say so on the front of it. You can try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes and then reconnect it to see if this will reset the stereo.
