Audio Systems: GM Bose 6-disk changer jammed, chevy tahoe, 2003 chevy tahoe

Hi Tom,
I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe with a factory Bose 6-disk changer system installed. My young son has put in more than one cd at a time and has jammed the unit. The changer will make a load / eject noise for a few minuites when turned on and then stop. The radio works fine and there are no error messages on the screen. Is this something that a handy person like myself can handle, or should this be left up to an expert.

You will have to pull the stereo out of the dash and disassemble the unit to gain access to the CD deck assembly. If you are very careful you can sometimes turn the load motor while putting some slight pressure on the discs to help back them out. Don't pry or pull on the discs or you could destroy the complete CD deck assembly. You may want to take the stereo to a qualified service center for removal of the stuck CDs.
