Audio Systems: 92 ford explorer cd player install, head deck, ford explorer

Question
ok i installed a head deck into my friends exploder and we had some problems matching wires to the correct ones on the back of the head deck.  i went to a website ,streatdreams.com, you gave somebody else on the color matchups and that seemed to be the right ones.  but there still was no sound comming out of the speakers at all. we were thinking about straight wireing the speakers to the head deck i dont think that that would do anything different from where it is now
if there is anything that you may know what to do i would greatly appreciate it

thanks,

Answer
Kenny,
On most Explorers the sound system uses an external amp that is mounted behind the RT front seat, behind one of the trim panels. If you used the adapter connector that plugged onto the factory connector it should have been marked with what wires are for what. If your vehicle does have an external amp you must use the correct adapter to interface an after market stereo to the factory amp.
