Audio Systems: Alpine car stereo, alpine car stereo, volt supplies

Question
Recently my alpine stereo model #cda-9825 has ceased to make any sound although on the faceplate everything is operating i.e. cd song and the time of song that is currently playing. The radio does not make any sound either. There are two amps. that were installed at a shop. What do I look for in simple English to try to fix this? Thank You.

Answer
Jose,
Use a 12 volt test lamp and make sure that the main 12 volt supplies to the amps are OK and also check that the remote on leads to the amps from the stereo to see if they go to 12 volts with the stereo turned on. If you have 12 volts at both locations, check the RCA connections (cables) to be sure that they are plugged in tightly.
